How We Work

Set within the picturesque scenery of Bawburgh Golf Club, Glen Lodge and our experienced team are here to help with your perfect day every step of the way. We always recommend meeting with a member of our wedding & events team who will run through the vast possibilities, options and ideas available at Glen Lodge. We are here to assist you in the planning of your day, offering advice on catering, timings, seating, décor and colour schemes. Once we have discussed your initial wedding plans with you, we can advise on our wedding packages or generate a bespoke quote for you which best suits your ideas and preferences.

Our wedding coordinators provide you with our availability to help you find your perfect date. We will hold a date for you for up to 14 days with no deposit or commitment. After these 14 days, we ask for a ÂŁ500.00 non-refundable deposit and a signed booking contract to secure the booking and date for you.

We offer a vast range of catering choices at Glen Lodge and advise you to choose your catering options and menus between 6-9 months prior to your wedding. We can also offer a complimentary menu tasting for 2 (terms and conditions apply, subject to your catering choices), however you may bring more people to sample your menu at an additional cost. Depending on the catering options you choose, we may require pre-orders along with any dietary requests or allergies in advance, so we would suggest to send your menu out with your invitations.

We like to keep updated with your wedding plans as they progress. We are open 7 days a week and encourage holding meetings with our couples at various stages so we can update your wedding booking notes. We are also available via email and phone to answer any questions you may have.
Our wedding coordinators require final numbers, details and balance payments at least one month in advance of your big day. We will accept slight changes up to 2 weeks in advance. Any last minute changes will be dealt with as helpfully as possible, but may not always be achievable. Any outstanding balances from your day are expected to be settled within 14 days after the event.

Our wedding & events team will be in early to look after your supplier deliveries and set the venue up exactly how you imagined it. They will be with you all day, through the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast, speeches, first dance and evening food, making sure that everything discussed and every detail is according to plan.
Our wedding venue, The Barnard Suite, opened in April 2019. The venue boasts a beautiful veranda decking area overlooking our golf course and the Yare Valley, with a stunning oak interior and ample space for your wedding ceremony, breakfast and reception all in one room. This space is simply perfect for your special day. With impressive wooden beams, a stone feature wall, and wooden floors, our vast room is a visual blank canvas for your wedding, with endless possibilities to dress in your desired colours and decorations. Our venue also has its own bar, stocking a wide variety of reasonably priced drinks. For hot summer months, the room provides air conditioning, complimenting the light, natural atmosphere. For cooler months, our heating and warm lighting will give your wedding a cosy, comfortable ambience. The room itself has an optional partitioning wall to allow you to separate your space if required. Leading off from our main room is our conservatory area, adjoining the main clubhouse. This is the perfect space for guests to take a quiet moment and is also ideal to display sweet tables, photo booths and more. Please be aware that our main clubhouse, golf courses, car park and toilet facilities are open to the public until 7pm.

We have a vast selection of menu options available, from a traditional wedding breakfast menu to afternoon tea, BBQs, buffets and street food. However, if you can’t find an option perfect for you and your guests, we will be happy to discuss individual ideas or requests.

From sparkling arrival drinks to bespoke toasts, we can provide you with a vast range of options to suit your taste. Our wine list has a great selection of our favourite wines. However, we also have a wider variety that we can supply on request. We can provide a complete drinks package to suit your requirements.
